Two accessible Creekside Reflections Atriums are wheelchair-friendly, and each has a ground-level patio with a fire pit next to a creek.Ĭube-shaped accommodations are called “Atriums” and run across multiple room categories. Star Reflections Atriums, the entry-level category, are in the center of the property near the pool and restaurant, while Landscape Reflections Atriums are set adjacent to the Coconino National Forest and have the most privacy and best views.Įach Atrium features a spiral staircase that leads to a private rooftop terrace complete with a daybed and gas-powered fire pit. Since I was booked in a Forest Reflections Atrium, I found myself surrounded by juniper and pine trees when I fully opened my blackout drapes with the touch of a button. While I thoroughly enjoyed the provided snacks and drinks, what really wowed me was the floor-to-ceiling, bronze-tinted glass on three sides of the cube. Also in each Atrium is a beverage cooler with complimentary drinks such as coconut water, soda and iced tea. Nature-inspired decor includes textured wallpaper designed to look like close-up views of leaves a solid, natural wood table and a tree trunk stool in the glass-enclosed shower. Called “ Atriums,” each building is 576 square feet and has the same furniture and amenities, including a marvelous black soaking tub, a comfy L-shaped couch decked out with multiple pillows, a king-sizd bed, a towel warmer and dual shower heads. It is a 61 mi, 1 and half hour drive though amazing mesas and mountains barely touched by man.Forty cube-shaped structures set on piers above the ground make up the lodging at Ambiente - so constructed to minimize disruption to the land. Also drive West to Folson via highway 456 and the dry Cimarron River valley. The Wifi is good if you need to stay in touch, and cell phones work well too. Even though it is a 5 hour drive from where we live, it is well worth the trip! This place will reset your metabolism and de-stress your nerves. We also enjoyed the entertaining kittens, and Wally, the Great Pyrenees guard dog.
I loved the selection of movies to watch to help unwind. The breakfast in the morning was more than we could consume and very tasty. The amenities were very clean and well thoughtout. We hiked up to the Top of Oklahoma at Black Mesa and got our 8.5 miles of exercise where the view was even more Grand. It is a great place to Unplug and relax, which we did, sort of.
I was amazed at the quietness and beauty of the area.

Vicki and Monty are wonderful hosts and full of stories of the area. My wife and I celebrated our 41st anniversary the weekend of 10/1- 10/3 at this wonderful, restful retreat.
